Our story
"Loving and Serving the Land and People of Northern Israel"
Zechariah’s Hope was birthed in response to the year 2006 rocket attacks upon northern Israel. We originally focused on cleaning, painting, and stocking bomb shelters in the city Kiryat Shmona. The Lord prospered and blessed us with many teams of volunteers from all over the US to do the work. In the span of 12 years we were privileged to work on over 80 shelters. During that time we developed a close relationship with Kibbutz Misgav Am, right on the border with Lebanon. The friends we have there allowed us to carve a unique amphitheater out of an overgrown hillside and abandoned observation post. Today this site is used by many Israelis and Christian tour groups for prayer, worship, and lectures. Thanks to the permission of the Misgav Am Study and Education Center (The Mitzpo), we speak with groups from all over the world about God’s unchanging love and commitment to the People and the Land of Israel.
The Key to Bible Prophecy and Key to Zechariah's Hope
And he said to me, “What do you see?” So I said, “I am looking, and there is a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps. “Two olive trees are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left.” So I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?” Zechariah 4:2-4
Understanding the answer to Zechariah’s question, “What are these, my Lord?” is a key to unlocking the mystery of the Two witnesses spoken of in Revelation 11: 1-4. Listen in as Pastor Carl reveals the key to unlock this mystery!

The Hidden Gem in Northern Israel: Zechariah's Hope!
Then I answered and said to him, “What are these two olive trees—at the right of the lampstand and at its left?” So he said, “These are the two anointed ones, who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth.

Misgav Am
Come visit us at beautiful Kibbutz Misgav Am, really a place like no other for pilgrims and tourists in Israel. At the scenic overlook, the Mitzpor, we work with our friends offering historical and strategic lectures for large and small groups. We’ve constructed a one of a kind Prayer and Teaching Amphitheater overlooking the border of Lebanon and across to Mount Hermon and the Golan. The amphitheater is surrounded by scripture signs in 14 languages testifying of God’s heart for the People, the Land, and the Plan He has for Israel.
Volunteers serve alongside Israelis at the Mitzpor and facilitate prayer, worship, and teaching times for the Pilgrimage groups in our amphitheater. Contact us if you have any questions about serving at Misgav Am.

Kiryat Shmona
Since 2007 we have been cleaning and painting municipal Bomb Shelters in Kiryat Shmona, the largest city near the northern border. With the permission of the city we’ve improved over 80 shelters so far. These shelters were heavily used in 2006 when Hizbullah launched over 3,900 rockets into Israeli cities. Over 1000 hit in or near Kiryat Shmona. Rockets still come our way occasionally, though they seldom make the news. Painting and cleaning shelters is a hands-on, sacrificial way to demonstrate the love of Jesus and really impact their minds and hearts as believers. We love meeting the locals and count it a privilege to show them love and support in this way. Whenever you bring a large or small tour/pilgrim group to Israel, your trip experience will be blessed if you schedule in a day or two of serving. We can help schedule and facilitate that with the authorities.
Educating and Encouraging the Body of Christ
Zechariah’s Hope wants to really spread the word about loving, supporting, and going to the Land of Israel. We would love to visit your church or conference and educate and encourage believers to stand with Israel in meaningful and practical ways. Carl Palinkas is the founder of Z-Hope and Sr. pastor of Church on the Rock in Florence, Oregon. He’d be happy to schedule a speaking event, share about Israel, and answer all your questions.
